Hundreds joined Chabad of the Valley for its annual banquet celebrating 37 years of serving the greater S. Fernando Valley. U. S. Congressman Brad Sherman opened the evening with inspiring words of praise for Chabad of the Valley and all of their valuable work on behalf of the community.
The evening featured a concert by renowned singer and entertainer Jordan Bennett. His beautiful rendition of Avinu Malkeinu brought tears to many, as his powerful, melodious voice echoed throughout the hall. |

The annual Israel Day festival in the Valley attracts thousands to a day of fun in the sun. As usual Chabad of the Valley had a Mitvah booth, dunning Teffilin with hundreds of men and boys over Bar Mitzvah, and distributing thousand of Shabbat Candle lighting kits to women and girls. |

The children and parents had a great time doing arts and crafts, watching the olive press show and their own videos which they produced, playing Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, and most important, performing amazing dances. It was truly a lot of fun. |

A Grand Community-Wide Menorah Lighting and Party was held at Super Sal in Tarzana. Everyone enjoyed the Live Music, Dancing Dreidels, Balloons, Juggler, Donuts, Hot Latkes, Sushi and much more. A great time was had by all! |

Chabad of the Valley will celebrated its 8th annual Chanukah Festival at Universal Studios CityWalk Hollywood on Saturday night, December 12, 2009, with a grand ceremonial Menorah lighting.
