On Sunday, May 18, 2014, Chabad of the Valley had a booth by the Israeli Festival at Rancho Park. It was an amazing event with thousands of Jews from all different backgrounds, all celebrating Lag B’omer together. At our booth, we put on tefillin with hundreds of people.

On Lag B'Omer, The Ryzman Family Hebrew School had its annual Lag B’omer parade. This year we took it to new heights with a police and fire escorts, closing off Burbank boulevard. It was an amazing day of Jewish pride. The children got to ride in the police car and also were able to sit on the “floats”. It culminated with a barbecue and a show by the amazing Chris.

A special thanks to Yossi and Sarah Jacobs who were the pioneers of this parade.

Our first annual “Runathon”. We had the honor and privilege to have Mr. Ernie Hacker, a Holocaust survivor, come speak to us and join us in the very special day.

We love Pesach here! Making our own matzah, having a model seder, going to the matzah bakery.

Many joined the Grand Purim Celebration at Chabad of Tarzana. Children and adults dressed in costume, brought the house down as they twirled groggers of all sorts during the Megillah reading. Was truly a lot of fun!!!!!!!!
